Feasibility and detailed studies for the restauration of fish and sediment migration of two existing hydropower plants

Two ending hydroelectric concessions on the Moselle River have to restore the fish and sediment migration. An analysis of the current fish migration and sediment circulation on the sites was carried out. Several scenarios to improve the ecological continuity were compared at a feasibility and detailed studies levels. The studies followed the Agence de l’Eau specifications for this type of studies.
